VBS Celebration

Last Wednesday we went to the VBS celebration at church because I wanted to see if the boys would tolerate Wednesday evenings at church. Jacen was unsure at first, but was hyper and everywhere by the end!!! Nathan was content the whole time even after waking up from a short nap. The only problem is that is during his feeding time. So we are still unsure what to do about that because waiting until 8pm to eat messes with his night schedule. Please pray we figure out what to do and what is best for Nathan and our whole family!

Jacen wasn't sure at first. Notice the little glow stick in his hand. They handed them out because the theme was Backstage with the Bible.

Kids on stage singing a song from VBS.

Brian, our Congregational Life Minister

Thank you Cade for holding Nathan, so I could hold Jacen!!!

By the end, he liked the glow stick and wanted other peoples' glow sticks too!!

NICU Reunion

We went to the Covenant NICU reunion on Saturday. It was great to see some of the boys' nurses as well as Chae and her son Rhett who were there a long time in NICU too. They had Cinderella characters, pictures with the characters, a skit, and a neat Cinderella cake. The boys were given crowns and sashes to wear :) Jacen wasn't sure at first what to do around that many people in a new place. Nathan was happy the whole time!

Lin was one of our wonderful nurses!!!!

Keri was one of Nathan's night nurses. We love Keri!!!!!

Cake

Molly, another sweet nurse

Jacen was excited when I decided holding him wasn't going to work anymore. He just wanted to get down :)

NATHAN

I often wonder why off the blanket is a better place to sleep. He seems to like it there.

Sleeping in his recliner while being fed through his tube. We had to tube him on Friday :(

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit. Grandpa and Nathan are playing!

Relaxing!!!

Patches our "protective dog".

JACEN

Oh the faces he makes!!!!

He wanted in the shower too!

Jacen carried on a conversation with Patches during snack time while I was bottling Nathan. It was the cutest thing :)

Daddy let Jacen stand in front of the mirror. He loved kissing, smiling, and talking!!!!

Another Entertaining and Loving Week!!!!!

We have taken 4 stroller rides since our last post. We all love to get outside. It was so nice every morning this past week. The rain always waited until we were done.

This was before one of our stroller rides. I was trying to get a picture of their outfits that Daddy got for them from ASU in April. That is where Kyle and I went to school and met!!!!!

JACEN

Jacen loved his yogurt that we tried for the first time this week. Notice his arms are blurry. That is because he is flapping them in excitement :)

Jacen pulls up and cruises very well now. He uses the chair to get around in the kitchen. He prefers that over his push toy. Silly boy :)

We were trying to teach him to clap this week!

Snack time. He woke up during Nathan's 3 pm bottle, so I gave him a snack along with juice AND milk. I was hoping to keep him happy until Nathan finished his bottle. He couldn't decided which he wanted to drink first, so he would take a drink of one and then the other!!!!!

He still won't stack blocks, but he loves to knock them down when I stack them.

Jacen has decided everything is a drum even the dryer!!!!

NATHAN

Daddy and Nathan time!!!!!

Patches decided to show his love for Nathan by licking his feet :)

He loved story time. He "talked" to me and made all sorts of faces!!!!

Jacen loves his Nathan!

"Sugars" unprompted for this pic. Jacen gave Bubba a kiss. I grabbed the camera and he was still giving him "sugars". He loves his Bubba!

All 3 of our boys loaded up in the car. They were watching me instead of Daddy with the camera. Oops!!!!!
