Outside, Respite Care, Playing in the Rain, and Grandparents

Jacen loves Daddy's sunglasses, playing outside, climbing, and my water bottles. He figured out this week how to climb up onto the kitchen chair and onto the table. We are definitely in trouble. He also climbed the stairs at church today! He is getting closer and closer to walking. He will take 4 or 5 steps on his own to get from one place to another.

We have a nurse coming in for Respite care now 8 hours a week through MDCP to help with Nathan, so Jacen and I get to hang out or grocery shop or whatever we need to do on Wednesday and Friday mornings. This week we went to the mall play area. I had hoped to go to a park, but the weather didn't allow that. We had lots of fun!!!!

This weekend Daddy and Jacen played in the rain. Jacen loved it!!!!!!

My Mom and Stepdad came to visit. We had fun playing and visiting!

Please continue to pray for Nathan. We have had a long week. We went from Nathan having lots of congestion, which kept him from being able to hold his feeding down, to a dry cough. During all of this we haven't gotten much sleep. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon!

Party, Tummy Time, and Monkey

Saturday we went to a birthday party for a friend from church. This was the first time that Jacen has really had a cupcake and played in the courtyard at church since their first birthday party. He had a blast. It was a Texas Tech party, so he also got his first tattoo.

Once we got home, Kyle took lots of pictures trying to get a good one of the tattoo that Jacen got at the party. I had to include some of the cute expressions!!!!!

Tummy Time

Nathan was in a great mood, so I took lots of pictures. Here are a few.

Our Little Monkey has no fear!!!! He climbed onto the recliner, then to the bed, and onto the nightstand. Then outside another day he decided to climb on the swimming pool that is upside down.

After climbing everywhere Jacen got bored and laid down to watch cartoons!

Steps

Jacen took 4 steps to me and 6 steps to Kyle on Wednesday, September 15th!!!!!!!!!

Climbing, McDonalds, Brothers, and Family

We took the boys to their 15 month well visit.

Jacen:
height - 34 in (off the chart)
weight - 26 lbs (75th percentile)
head circumference - 19 in (90th percentile)

Nathan:
height - 25.5 in
weight - 18.4 lbs
head circumference - 15.9 in

Jacen

Jacen still loves to climb and still won't walk!!! He can now climb up the slide and on the green platform, but he still won't slide down.

He will concentrate on toys trying to figure them out. He was focused on which box the smallest box went into. Then he was very proud of himself when he managed to get it in.

McDonalds

Our first trip to McDonalds and the first time Jacen has eaten food at a fast food restaurant. He ate his chicken nuggets and the blueberries that I brought for him, but he didn't much like the french fries. He stood on the bench the whole time without falling.

Brothers

Jacen has become very aware of Nathan. He will give him toys, point to his G tube, and pat him.

Wagon Ride

We didn't actually let Patches pull them, but we wanted to see if he would. He just stood there :)

Pawpaw and Mimi Came to Visit (Stephanie's Dad and Stepmom)

Jacen showed Pawpaw how to put the block inside the bigger block and was very proud of himself.
