2019-2020 Disney Cruise Part 5

12-31-19  We spent New Year's Eve on Disney's Island Castaway Cay!!  The one thing I wanted to do on this trip was to run the Castaway Cay 5K, so everyone humored me and participated as well!!  My time was less than 30:30, but not sure exactly what it was.  I didn't realize they were timing it since it was a fun run, so as soon as I got my medal and a drink of water, I noticed it.  That is when I snapped the time pic.  Oh well, close enough on the time :)  I ran the whole way!  Jacen and Kyle both ran/walked.  This was their first 5K.

After the 5K we went back to the boat to change, because our excursion for the day (sting rays) was canceled because of weather.  So on the way to the ship we stopped to take fun pics.  After changing into our swimsuits, we dropped Jacen off at Scuttle's Cove the kid area on the island because of course his priority was to get to the kid area.  After swimming and lunch, Kyle and I got Jacen, so he could swim in the ocean as well.  Then Jacen and I rode a Water Trike.

Next, Jacen wanted to return to the ship to swim in the pool and hot tub since they are both heated.  Then it was time for dinner at Animator's Palate again!  Of course I had everyone take more family pics as well.  We got in a few more characters before Jacen wanted to return to the Oceaneer Lab/Club to ring in the new year.  So Kyle and I hung out and rang in the New Year with fireworks and a toast!!!  Kyle was nice and snagged a glass of sparkling juice for Jacen to have when he returned the room!  It was a wonderful day and fun way to ring in the New Year!
