Then we walked down the Riverwalk until we got to Casa Rio to eat a yummy dinner!
12-24-16 The next morning we got up to go to the Alamo because their website said they would be open, but unfortunately the website was wrong, so we looked at some waterfalls, took some pictures by the Alamo Cenotaph, took a picture in front of the Christmas tree in Alamo Plaza, and then got on a Trolley Tour to see two other missions and El Mercado!!!
The first mission stop was at Mission San Jose. We were amazed by the ornate work in the buildings!
Outside what once was a room for the Indians to stay in along the outer wall of the mission!
In front of the church.
Inside the church!
The grist mill behind the church.
Inside one of the Indian homes built into the outer wall of the mission.
Inside the grain storage room
Inside one of the rooms used in protection of the mission.
The next stop was Mission Concepcion. This mission has actually been moved to the location from somewhere in East Texas.
Very Ornate work!!
Very beautiful inside the church
More outside pics!
Next we stopped at El Mercado where we did lots of looking but only bought some Mexican Vanilla!!
That evening Daddy left to head back to Lubbock to get Justice because the house sitter wasn't able to stay the whole time. So Jacen and I watched Trinity's Christmas Eve service because one of my students was in the Christmas play!!!!
