October Pics

October 9th

We took our weekend wagon ride to see the horses.  Jacen is more interested in talking to them instead of petting them.  He wanted to stop to the see the miniature horses and the "big" horses. 

After the wagon ride, we took his tricycle to the front yard.  Jacen enjoyed having the sidewalk and driveway to drive on.

October 10th

Daddy took Jacen to McDonald's for supper, so I could scrapbook for the evening.  It was great down time!!!!  And Jacen loved it because he got to drink Dr. Pepper.  Shame on Daddy!!!

October 14th

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and we went to the park to play!!!!

October 19th

Daddy snapped a picture of Jacen reading books one morning before preschool. 

Pumpkins!!!

We spent the day shopping for Halloween.  We found Jacen's Halloween costume, bought candy, and went to the Pumpkin Patch.  We took some pictures of Jacen :)

He has started making this goofy smile!!!

We bought a Mr. Potato Head decorating kit to make a Cowboy Pumpkin :)

Jacen really enjoyed it, but didn't understand why I wanted him to leave the pieces alone once they were placed.  So we played with Mr. Potato Head afterwards!!!

Corn Maize

We spent 3 hours at the Corn Maize on Saturday.  We enjoyed BBQ lunch, looking at the water, seeing the animals, taking a hay ride, going through a kid maze, and going halfway through the corn maize.  It was a wonderful family day!!!!!

KID MAZE

He had a blast doing the Kid Maze.  He went back to it over and over.  We loved his facial expressions in these three pictures.  He seemed to be loving it in two and in deep concentration in the middle one.

Jacen loved it at first.  He was just running and telling us where to go!!!  Then he got tired and wanted to be carried :(  We only went halfway through.  He definitely reminded us to enjoy our time the three of us today and not just worry about finishing the maize. 

He was very interested in the corn signs throughout the maize.

He kept wanting to go in the corn field not on the path.  He stood in this spot for a while drinking his water.

THE HAY RIDE

He picked out a few pumpkins and then put them back.  He didn't want to take one with us.  Maybe we will make it to another pumpkin patch to buy some pumpkins.

We had a wonderful day as a family followed by a long long nap for Jacen!!!!

September Pics Part 2 - The Park, The Fair, and More!!!!!

Jacen is so fascinated by Patches' kennel.  He climbs in it whenever we don't get him in the car fast enough!! (No we do not put him there!!!!)

Last Friday Jacen and I spent the evening at the park.  He loved to slide which he usually won't do :)  I loved his facial expressions (sorry about the glare of the sun)

We took another wagon ride last weekend.  All of our wagon rides now have to include a stop to pet the horses :)

THE FAIR

We went to the Fair last Sunday after church.  We ate fair food, pet the animals, and looked at the Wilson Middle School art!!!!

Jacen preferred talking to the goats over petting them.  He talks to animals including Patches like they know exactly what he is talking about and wonders why they don't mind :)

Yesterday Jacen and I returned to the park for our evening together.  He wanted my sunglasses and to slide!!!  And Grandparent's he wants a bike and a football like some other kids had at the park last night :)
