December 2023 - Part 3 - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

12-24-23 Monterey had two Candlelight Services today; the first one Jacen did a scripture reading and Kyle volunteered at cameras, and that evening Jacen was at cameras while Kyle ran the camera, so we attended both services.  Between the two we had pizza and watched Home Alone!  Then after both services we had drinks from Starbucks and looked at Christmas lights!

12-25-23 Christmas morning started off pretty late because when you have Christmas with a 14 year old they sleep until 10!  We started with Kyle hanging Nathan's yearly ornament.  Then we did stockings, followed by presents before eating breakfast :) Then for the lunch we had Mexican food and watched Home Alone 2!  Then that evening we ate Mexican food again and watched Charlie Brown Christmas.  We read the Christmas story; then Kyle and Jacen played video games!

December 2023 - Part 2 - Beauty and The Beast, Choir Performances, Dad's Funeral, STUCO Christmas Party, Trip to Mom's for Christmas and More!

12-10-23 to 12-13-23 I spent in Goldthwaite because my Dad passed away.  This is a perfect picture to remember him by! Thanks to whoever posted on it on FB!  I didn't get my pics except with my nephew Shepherd and our cousin pic at the funeral.

12-14-23 Jacen attended the FHS Madrigal Dinner to see his choir friends perform!

He evidently performed for their table.  One of my coworkers asked me the next day isn't that your kid?  I was like of course he performed even though he wasn't in the performance :) 

12-16-23 I ran 3 4Ks for the Disney 12Ks of Christmas Challenge!

12-19-23 Jacen watched his choir friends at their Christmas concert!

12-21-23 to 12-23-23 Jacen and I traveled to Mom's house to celebrate Christmas!  Grandma has the grandkids deliver Christmas goodies to the neighbor. We played the family version of Cards Against Humanity.  The kids played in the playroom and even made a tent! We opened Christmas gifts, played Christmas games, and Jacen got his $100 from Tracy which my Dad would give him every year for Christmas; bitter sweet. We also went to the Goldthwaite City Park to look at the Christmas Lights!
